Keith Olbermann sure doesn’t like staying in one place for along time. He is leaving ESPN once again and his show will finish up at the end of the month.

ESPN made the announcement tonight, confirming that Olbermann, which airs on ESPN2, will finish at the end of July.

“Keith is a tremendous talent who has consistently done timely, entertaining and thought-provoking work since returning to ESPN,” the network said in a statement. “While the show’s content was distinctive and extremely high quality, we ultimately made a business decision to move in another direction. We wish Keith nothing but the best and trust that his skill and ability will lead him to another promising endeavor.”

It became clear that Olbermann was getting ready to leave the sports network for a second time earlier this month when it was reported that ESPN was requesting Olbermann drop the commentary segments in his show. ESPN denied that claim, but reports insisted that there was a very slim chance that he would sign a contract extension.

Olbermann announced his return to ESPN with much fanfare in July 2013 and Olbermann premiered the following month. The show initially aired at 10 p.m. on ESPN2, but the network moved the show up to 5 p.m. in August 2014.

Olbermann was first at ESPN from 1992 to 1997 and later became a political pundit at MSNBC and Al Gore’s Current. He also briefly worked at TBS to cover the MLB playoffs before going back to ESPN.
