Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has been going through a lot recently, and she’s now getting some backlash for a clip from the MTV show’s new episode airing Thursday.
In the clip, she spanks one of her twins with ex-husband Corey Simms and it’s pretty emotional to watch. Aleeah, who they call Gracie, is heard screaming as she gets spanked for her bad behavior.
"Gracie! Get that right now. I’m not playing,” Messer is seen yelling at her daughter. “You’re going to pick that up! You’re not going to act like this in front of people. Do you understand? I’ve had enough. I don’t know why you’re acting like this,” Us Weekly reports.
After the spanking, Messer sits on her bed and talks to her friend, Amber. "I had to go spank her,” she told her. “And I feel bad because I spanked her.”
Amber didn’t see anything wrong with it, mentioning that’s how most people in West Virginia grow up. "I was whipped and I turned out okay," she said.
Messer’s divorce from Jeremy Calvert was finalized in June, OK! Magazine reports. Before that, Messer checked into rehab for depression and stress.
