Amy Schumer and LeBron James are looking to make a sequel to their comedy Trainwreck. The twist? They don’t want Bill Hader or Judd Apatow to be involved in the project.
In a video released by Funny or Die James pitches the idea for a sequel to his upcoming film Trainwreck, a comedy written by Schumer and directed by Apatow, which comes out this Friday. James’ idea for the sequel involves the death of Hader’s character in the first scene. He continues by suggesting Schumer’s character grieves for a short while and uses James’ shoulder to cry on. Schumer and James ultimately decide that James should direct the film, and Apatow is ousted as director and producer.
Schumer has been the “it girl” of the comedy industry lately. Trainwreck was aired at SXSW in April and received high praise from critics. She is on a press tourpromoting the film.
The third season of her Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer aired its season finale last week, and has been picked up for a fourth season by the network.
