Loredana Nesci, a former police officer who became a lawyer, has died. The star of SundanceTV’s Loredana, Esq. was 47. Her boyfriend, Robert Reagan ,was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Nesci was found dead in her Redondo Beach, California home Wednesday, reports Deadline. A Redondo Beach Police Department spokesman told the site that officers were called to the home at 7:20 a.m.
The Daily Breeze reports that Reagan, 51, was the caller. After being questioned by police, he was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked in jail. Bail was set at $1 million.
Police released very little details, only noting that the couple had “an altercation.” It has been reported that she died from a gunshot wound, although police didn’t confirm that.
The couple did share a young son, Rocco, who was not at home at the time.
“I think there was part of Loredana that enjoyed being a minor celebrity but that was just a hobby — Rocco was her life,” friend Laura Riffel told the Daily Breeze. “That’s the way she would want to be remembered. Everything was for him.”
Nesci’s show began in March 2014 and only six episodes aired. She was a former Los Angeles police officer who gained notoriety for being a legal crusader. She built her own successful law firm on representing average people who may have made a bad decision.
Nesci was an active Instagram user, posting her final picture just hours before the shooting. She’s seen kissing her dog. Many of her fans have posted their condolences in the comments.
