Madonna has compared herself to Picasso in a new interview, reminiscent to Kanye West comparing himself to many greats throughout the years.

At age 56, the “Living For Love” singer feels just as creative as when she first started out in the music business and doesn’t feel a need to retire.

“I like to compare myself to other kinds of artists like Picasso,” she told Page Six. “He kept painting and painting until the day he died. Why? Because I guess he felt inspired to do so. Life inspired him, so he had to keep expressing himself, and that’s how I feel.”

Madonna will kick off her tour in support of her latest album, Rebel Heart, on Sept. 9 in Montreal. She will tour Australia, Asia, North America and Europe, and Amy Schumer will open for her during the New York City shows.

She called teaming up with the Trainwreck star a “good match” because they’re both “role models for women.”

“I don’t think there’s a time, a date, an expiration date for being creative,” she continued. “I think you go until you don’t have any more to say.”
