Michael Sheen will be joining Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming sci-fi romance film Passengers.

According to Variety, Passengers is a love story between Pratt’s and Lawrence’s characters. The two have been placed in a cryogenic sleep with thousands of other passengers and are on their way to a new planet. Pratt’s character unexpectedly wakes up and decides to wake another passenger to join him. Sheen’s character in the film is a robot that is on the spaceship.
As previously reported Passengers has had a long, drawn out history. It was originally set to star Reese Witherspoon and Keanu Reeves. After Witherspoon left the project, Rachel McAdams was set to take her place. It was announced earlier this year that Lawrence and Pratt would take the lead roles, with Morten Tyldum, director of The Imitation Game, set to direct.
The film has also been in the news regarding the actors’ paychecks. Pratt will reportedly make $12 million for his role, and Lawrence will make $20 million.
Sheen is currently starring in Showtime’s Masters of Sex.
