Nick Gordon hires Jose Baez, attorney who won acquittal for Casey Anthony

As Bobbi Kristina Brown remains in hospice care, her boyfriend Nick Gordon is getting ready to defend himself in court against her conservators.

As we previously reported, Gordon is being sued for $10 million. He's accused of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and stealing money from her.

According to People, Gordon has hired Jose Baez, the same attorney who represented Casey Anthony, who was acquitted in the murder of her young daughter in 2011.

Baez will join investigator TJ Ward, who worked on the Natalee Holloway case, as well as Gordon’s current lawyers Joe Habachy and Randy Kessler.

Eli Benton, Ward’s executive assistant, told People of the day Brown was found unresponsive, “We do know that other individuals were present at the time of when the emergency personnel were brought in. TJ will be trying to establish who was present and what their role was."

As for Brown, her “condition has continued to deteriorate,” according to her family.
