Nicolle Wallace, who was supposed to offer the conservative viewpoint on The View, will not be returning to the show in September, according to reports. She’s following actress Rosie Perez out the door.

Earlier this month, it was rumored that both Perez and Wallace would be dropped from the show, which will be entering its 19th season in September. Perez later confirmed her departure and Michelle Collins was officially named her replacement.
Now, both TheWrap and Variety are reporting that Wallace is gone as well, though ABC hasn’t commented.
The show’s producers might have had issue with Wallace’s lack of interest in celebrities. She is more suited for political discussion, especially as the former communications chief for President George W. Bush. She also contributes to MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
While Collins is replacing Perez, TheWrap suggests that ABC is considering a “rotating co-host” slot. Former View co-host Sherri Shepherd is in talks to add her name to that list, as is Fuller House star Candace Cameron-Bure, who is a conservative and could fill that role. Molly Sims and stylist Stacy London are also rumored to be on the list of guest hosts.
