Raven Symoné got candid about dealing with the pressures of Hollywood at a young age on Tuesday’s episode of The View.

The co-host recalled an early memory of being told she was getting fat at age seven. She admitted that growing up in show business and trying to maintain a healthy body image was “definitely hard.”

“I remember not being able to have the bagel or anything at [Craft services] where it’s just a table of food ready for you to eat whenever you want,” the actress recalled. “I remember people were like, ‘you can’t eat that. You’re getting fat.’ I’m like, ‘I’m seven! I’m hungry!’”

The former Disney star explained that she was still feeling the pressures not to gain weight while starring on the hit show That’s So Raven “up until [she] got to 180 pounds.”

This is not the first time Symoné has addressed these pressures. In 2011 she told People that she took a hiatus from Hollywood in 2007 because she “was stressed out.”

After making her health her top priority, Symoné lost 70 pounds and developed an enduring love for herself and her body.

“I could look in the mirror and see me at 200 pounds or 135 pounds and I’m still the same person,” she told the magazine. “People say, ‘You look so pretty!’ But I was pretty before… It messes with your head a little bit.”
