Ringo Starr, the former drummer for The Beatles, celebrated his 75th birthday on Tuesday. The drummer was in Los Angeles for the big day, celebrating his career with plenty of “Peace and Love” outside the Capitol Records building.

Starr was joined by his wife, Barbara Bach, alongside Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter, drummer Jim Keltner, former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum and members of his touring All-Starr Band. According to the Los Angeles Times, the day also included Starr’s 10th annual “Peace & Love” ceremony at noon. This involves Starr’s fans around the world saying “Peace & Love” or posting the message on social media.

“It's international now ... Wherever I am on my birthday that's where we do it. And it's growing by the response I get,” Starr said Tuesday, reports Reuters. “It's come a long way ... In Chicago was the first one and we've been to New York and we've done several times in LA and we did it in Hamburg.”

When asked if he would ever stop playing drums, especially after he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist, Starr of course said he’d keep going.

“It's what I do, it's what I did before The Beatles and before the peace and love birthday. I'll play drums and entertain and sing a few songs,” he said.

The only other living Beatle, Paul McCartney, wished Ringo a happy birthday on Faceook.

“Happiest of birthdays to Ringo on this special day. It’s my Dad’s too – he would have been 113!”
