Prince George is celebrating his second birthday today and the Royal Palace has released a new photo marking the toddler’s big day.
BBC noted that the adorable pic was taken after Princess Charlotte's christening on July 5 at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham estate. It was shot by fashion photographer Mario Testino, who Princess Diana chose to photograph her for Vanity Fair in 1997.
"This photograph captures a very happy moment on what was a special day for the Duke and Duchess and their family,” a spokesperson for Kensington Palace said. "They are very pleased to share this picture as they celebrate Prince George's second birthday."
The new photo shows little George smiling for the camera while in his father’s arms. Last week, another adorable pic of the prince was released showing him waiving to the crowd from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
The future King of England’s birthday party Wednesday will be a private affair and will likely be held at the Duke and Duchess’ Norfolk home.
