Sherri Shepherd and her estranged husband Lamar Sally have reached a custody settlement as part of their nasty divorce, with the former View co-host being ordered to pay child support for the son she has claimed she was defrauded into having via surrogate.
Back in April, Shepherd was named the legal mother of the nearly 1-year-old baby, who was conceived with Sally’s sperm and a donor’s eggs. Shepherd has accused Sally of tricking her into having the baby to get child support from her.
In any case, Shepherd will now have to pay child support, $4,100 a month to be exact, TMZ reports. When he turns 13, the child support will increase by $500.
However, as part of the agreement, Shepherd will still be able to pursue the fraud case. If an appeals court sides with her, the child support payments will be void.
The former couple still has frozen embryos, which Shepherd wants to keep frozen indefinitely. If Sally does decide to use them with a surrogate, she will not be responsible financially for the new baby.
