The San Antonio Spurs have made some noise on the first day of free agency by reportedly signing Danny Green to a mega deal and trading Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks.

ESPN reported that sources have said Green agreed to a four-year deal worth $45 million.

The 28-year-old was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 46th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. He was waived after playing in just 20 games for the Cavs and eventually found his footing with the Spurs offense in 2012.

The Kings, Knicks and Pistons were reportedly interested in the guard, but Green made it known months ago that if something could get done, he wanted to remain in San Antonio.

After the team fell to the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs, he said that he loved the fans and hoped to return.

The Spurs are expected to take care of its core players and still have salary cap space to sign LaMarcus Aldridge.

In addition to the reported signing on Wednesday, sources told Yahoo! Sports that the team has shipped center Tiago Slitter to the Atlanta Hawks.
