The home of Subway spokesman Jared Fogle was searched by federal and Indiana state authorities this morning as part of a child pornography investigation. His attorney says that he is cooperating with authorities and has not been arrested.

"Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges and looks forward to its conclusion," attorney Ron Elberger said in a statement to The Indianapolis Star. "He has not been detained, arrested or charged with any crime or offense."

Fogle was seen in the investigators’ evidence truck and later left his home in a car, with Elberger driving.

Earlier this morning, Fogle’s Zionsville, Indiana home was raided by authorities, who have yet to comment on the case. It comes two months after Russell Taylor, the former executive director of Fogle’s Jared Foundation, was charged with possession of and producing child pornography. Taylor was immediately fired by Fogle after he was arrested.

Subway said in a statement to CNN that the chain thinks the raid was linked to the Taylor case.

“We are shocked about the news and believe it (Tuesday's search) is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely. We don't have any more details at this point,” a Subway spokesman said.

Fogle has been the star of Subway’s commercials since 2000 because he claimed to lose 245 pounds by eating Subway subs and exercising while a freshman at Indiana University.
