Jenelle Evans posted a video of her dog playing fetch with a lit firework over Fourth of July weekend and got a lot of backlash for it, but she isn’t exactly apologizing.
She has since deleted the video from social media and wrote, “I’m never posting anything about my dog ever again.”
Evans defended her actions to TMZ, telling them she thought it was fine because she’s seen a dog do the same thing on America’s Funniest Home Videos.
She said she isn’t sorry she posted the video but she is remorseful that people who saw it are offended by it. The Teen Mom 2 star and mother of two also compared her dog being around lit fireworks as the same thing as people who have their dogs around a campfire while camping.
“As soon as I do one little thing that looks wrong, they’re trying to put me on blast,” she said of the public’s criticism.
In the video, Evans is wearing the engagement ring she got from her on-again, off-again fiancé Nathan Griffith, so it looks like they’re back on after their domestic dispute in May.
She told People, “In the end, he realized that he wanted his family back.”
