ESPN has its annual ESPY Awards every July to celebrate the biggest accomplishments in the world of sports from the previous 12 months. The last 12 months have had a tremendous amount of interesting and compelling stories that have captivated audiences across the country. These stories range from championship-winning moments, controversy, history and year-long domination. This year’s stories include the King returning to his home in Ohio, the apparent crowning of dynasties in the MLB and the NHL with the Giants and the Blackhawks each winning their third title in the last six years, the Patriots reclaim their spot atop the NFL amid the Deflategate scandal, domination on the pro golf and tennis scenes, a Triple Crown, exceptional performances on the national stage in college athletics, the Warriors’ ascent to the top and a World Cup championship. See how these stories and more stack up against one another. The 2015 ESPYs are scheduled to air on ABC on July 15 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
