It looks like a little weight gain can do the body good.
Whitney Cummings stopped by NBC’s Today show on Monday looking a little different. When hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb commented on her appearance, Cummings credited her new look to some weight gain, notes E! News.
“I did this weird thing that nobody likes to do anymore where I gained weight. I gained like 25 lbs.,” she revealed.
Cummings looked so different that Gifford and Kotb thought she had gotten a face-lift!
“Well, I did get a new face,” Cummings joked. “I bought it on eBay.”
Cummings explained that her weight gain was something she “needed” to do because she thought she was “way too skinny before.”
“Here’s the thing: when you’re on television, you get confused,” Cummings said, who starred on the NBC comedy Whitney for two seasons. “I looked like I was passing away and I put on, like, 20 lbs. I think I filled out.”
Gaining weight is not the only changes Cummings has made. She told Gifford and Kotb that she’s been using a new face mask that “lifts and tightens” her skin, making it look like she’s had work done.
“Did you see Eyes Wide Shut? It’s like a white mask that you put on. You look crazy and a couple restraining orders have already come in,” she said of her newest addition to her beauty regiment.
The funny girl also shed light on the pressures girls feel to be skinny and managed to crack a joke about her booty.
“I feel like all the advice to girls nowadays is ‘Lose weight! Lose weight!’ They say you have to pick your ass or your face and I’m picking my face,” she said. “But I hope somebody else picks the other one!”
