We resume this critical HOH competition in which we will crown the first solo HOH of the season. The Sixth Sense alliance desperately need to keep the power this week. ‘The Other Guys’ alliance which is James, Jackie and Meg desperately want to get the power so they can go after The Sixth Sense. They have to stand up on the cliff while they are drenched with water and birds attacking them. I love James repeatedly offering to make deals with people. 25 minutes in the competition and the HG already look miserable. Steve and Austin are the first two HG that drop. Moments later, Julia and Meg drop. Vanessa is paranoid…as she should be. She has a major target on her back.
52 minutes into the HOH comp. and the remaining HG are shivering and look miserable. 90 minutes in Jackie is the next to go down. She looked super focused. Liz drops shortly after. Clay and Shelli are the last hope for The Sixth Sense. James starts playing some mind games with Clay. Smart move by James. Becky drops off the cliff after 103 minutes. Clay is the next to drop which means Shelli is the last hope for The Sixth Sense. James, Shelli and Johnny Mac are the final three. Shelli makes a deal with James for her and Clay’s safety for the week. James agrees, but your word doesn’t mean much in this game. The Sixth Sense’s reign in power comes to an end.
TOG alliance is ecstatic to be in power this week. I think Vanessa should be the most worried of anybody. I feel she is no doubt going on the block this week. I could see her being a potential backdoor target for the week. The twins have a catch up conversation where Julia questions her trust in Austin. It gets really awkward when Julia calls out Austin in front of Liz. I feel the trust is not there between Julia and Austin. It would be really interesting if it came down if Liz had to save her sister or Austin. I would hope she picks her sister.
Vanessa and Shelli have a sad, we just lost conversation. Vanessa feels alone since she knows Clay and Shelli are obviously together. The Sixth Sense is reeling right now. They are all upset and all paranoid. They are now seeing what they have been doing to the other half of the house. I like the pep talk Clay gives Shelli. He has her realize that she should be playing the game for herself.
We witness how much Clay mumbles throughout the house. I just want you to know that I picked Clay to win this game. The reactions on the HG faces are priceless. We go right back to game talk. ‘TOG’ alliance talks about how nervous The Sixth Sense alliance is. They discuss who to nominate. James is out for revenge this week. He wants to target Shelli. They debate who to put up next to Shelli. It looks like either Liz or Austin.
Becky is playing both sides of the house. I like the game she is playing right now. She reveals the idea of nominating one of them. Shelli is pissed and wants to let Vanessa know what is going on. Clay doesn’t completely trust Vanessa and thinks she would direct the target at them. He has a good point. Vanessa makes her case to James. She says it was house decision and does her best to manipulate James a little bit. Vanessa tries to cut a deal with James to work together. It is a tough decision on James.
‘Celly’ goes and talks with James about where his head is at. They want to know they are safe this week. They try to keep themselves safe while throwing Austin under the bus. Interesting move. It seems The Sixth Sense could be slowly falling apart. James isn’t buying all the sweet talk. James is restless and can’t sleep. He talks with Meg and decides that instead of a backdoor plan, he has the idea of throwing Clay and Shelli on the block next to each other. He has a great point. They are a power couple and they should be split up. This nomination ceremony should be good.
The HG sit in the backyard anxiously awaiting the nominations. James calls the house in. I’m sure ‘Celly’ is extremely nervous right now along with Vanessa. James makes arguably the biggest move of the summer by nominating the power couple Clay and Shelli. They both look speechless. James makes a great speech and then Shelli calls him out at the ceremony. That was an intense nomination ceremony. James has drawn a major line in the sand. This is a critical POV this week.
Who will win the Power of Veto? Will it be used to save Clay or Shelli from eviction?
Random thoughts on tonight’s episode:
I love endurance competitions. They are hands down my favorite and I believe the toughest of Big Brother.
I was a fan of the ‘Celly’ showmance. It is now starting to get annoying.
James had a beast victory for HOH. It will be interesting to see if he keeps the ‘Celly’ alliance safe.
Austin has a great connection with Liz. Austin has zero connection with Julia and never will.
I’m 100% POSITIVE that Shelli has never watched this show. Clay is going to keep her going in this game.
Watching James scare Steve as he was coming out of the bathroom is by far one of my favorite moments of this season.
Quote of the episode: “I’m not scared to get blood on my hands!”—James
That was a great nomination ceremony. ‘Celly’ is furious right now. This POV is critical for them.
