A judge sentenced Django Unchained star Daniele Watts and her boyfriend Brian James Lucas to community service and probation after their apology letters were deemed "insincere."

The Hollywood Reporter noted that the actress and her beau were each sentenced to 15 days community labor along with two years of probation following Watts’ apology.

The couple was arrested when officers found them having sex in a car last September. During questioning, Watts said that the LAPD treated her like she was a prostitute and accused the officers of racial profiling.

As part of a plea deal, the committing lewd acts charges against them were dropped. They then pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace and were instructed to submit an apology letter to the police officers they accused of racial profiling.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the judge did not believe that Watts took that instruction seriously since she signed her letter with a heart and indicated that the officers were interrupted from a "coffee break."

Last week, the judge called the two letters "insincere and passive aggressive” before imposing the sentence.
