Vincent Kartheiser has found a post-Mad Men role. The actor, who played Pete Campbell on the AMC show, will star in Debt, a project that has landed at WGN America.

Deadline reports that WGNA bought the spec script written by Ian MacDonald and is being produced by Endemol Shine Studios and Assembly Entertainment.

The director on the pilot will be Neil LaBute, whose next film is Dirty Weekend with Matthew Broderick. The playwright has also directed episodes of AMC’s Hell on Wheels and DirecTV’s Billy & Billie.

Kartheiser is set to play a man who loses everything, then joins a Robin Hood-style debt collection agency that takes from the rich and gives to the poor.

According to TheWrap, Kartheiser is also attached to a National Geographic series called Saints and Strangers that’s about the settlers of the Plymouth Colony in 1620.

Kartheiser starred on Mad Men for all seven seasons of the show’s run. His credits also include Angel, Alpha Dog and Rango.
