Jon Rudnitsky, a stand-up comedian from New Jersey, is joining the 41st season of Saturday Night Live as a featured player, NBC announced today.

Rudnitsky was born in Herrington Park, New Jersey and studied at the University of Southern California, the network. The 25-year-old began working in stand-up during high school and won the 2012 Laugh Factor’s Laugh Bowl college comedy competition. He currently lives in New York, which is certainly convenient if he works on Saturday Night Live.

The comedian is the latest change for SNL. As The Hollywood Reporter points out, there were three new cast members for Season 40, while eight joined during Season 39.

Despite all these changes, the show is still attracting big stars to host. Miley Cyrus will host the season premiere on Oct. 3. Amy Schumer is hosting the Oct. 10 episode and Tracy Morgan will be the Oct. 17 show’s host.
