Disney and Lucasfilm already made announcements regarding the live-action plans for Star Wars, but the studios did hold back news about Star Wars Rebels for October’s New York Comic Con. Attendees will get a sneak preview of the hit Disney XD show’s second season.

Lucasfilm didn’t say who exactly will be representing the show, but the studio announced this week that the Rebels panel has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the Empire Stage. A few hours later, fans will then get to see two episodes before they air.

The new episodes will feature the return of Captain Rex, Captain Gregor and Commander Wolffe, who all appeared in Star Wars: The clone Wars. Ahsoka Tano, who appeared in the season one finale, will also be in the new episodes.

The New York Comic Con runs from Oct. 8-11 at the Javits Center. TheCelebrityCafe.com will be on the scene to cover the event.

Rebels is returning to Disney XD this fall. In addition, Disney is releasing the first live-action Star Wars film in a decade, The Force Awakens, on Dec. 18. It’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan.
