If a can of beer could talk, there’s so many things it could say. One of them is apparently “Tom Brady Sux,” at least if you buy Sun King Brewing beer in Indianapolis.

Over 20,000 cans of the brewery’s Wee Mac Scottish Ale included an extra line above their expiration dates. It reads, “Tom Brady Sux.” While the brewery will not take responsibility for the jab at the New England Patriots quarterback, it admitted that to the Indianapolis Star that it was a prank by an employee identified as “Biscuit.”

“It was a prank by Biscuit,” Sun King co-owner Clay Robinson told the Star on Tuesday.

The prank started on May 13, just a week after Ted Wells’ report on Deflategate was released and two days after Brady was first suspended for four games.

"It wasn't an idea we came up with at all," Robinson told the Star. “Every day, we change the thing on the bottom of our cans. One of the guys running the canning lines had to come up with something. Biscuit is his name. So Biscuit put 'Tom Brady Sux.'”

Biscuit still has his job, likely because the brewery is known for adding little jokes on its cans. During the Indianapolis 500, they usually add “Turn left” or “Go fast,” for example.

Of course, the Indianapolis Colts played a major role in the Deflategate saga. They played the Patriots in the AFC Championship, when the Patriots allegedly used underinflated balls during the first half. The Colts lost 45-7.
