Amber Rose has fallen victim to an online prostitution scam, which the Los Angeles Police Department is now investigating.

A company was soliciting models by using Rose as a way to lure them in and she had absolutely no idea.

TMZ reports the company was luring the women in "for a paid celebrity photoshoot and clothing line” and they even used a fake video of Rose featuring her having a bad connection.

This past weekend, Rose hinted she knew something about it when she tweeted, “If ur receiving emails or Text from amberrosemuva@gmail.com dat ain't me Bih. Apparently that email has been Facetiming my fans 2 with an old ustream I did then hanging up saying they had bad reception smh."

She went on to write, “Tricky f--ks….Very creative tho. I'll give them that."

The company would set up the women on dates with wealthy men then ask if they were willing to have sex with them. They would use Rose’s name as a way to entice them to get intimate, saying working with her will help them make money.

The scam was discovered when one of the models figured out Rose wasn’t involved and she reported it to the police.

However, the LAPD told E! News they weren’t aware of a prostitution ring.
