Billy Joel and his wife, Alexis Roderick, are now proud parents of a baby girl named Della Rose as of Wednesday morning.
Roderick gave birth to the couple’s first child in New York early in the morning, who weighed 7 pounds, 6.5 ounces.
The “Piano Man” singer’s rep confirmed the birth to ABC News.
This is the first child for Joel and Roderick, who married during Fourth of July weekend at their annual party at their home. They’ve been together since 2009.
Joel already has a daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, 29, whom he welcomed with ex-wife Christie Brinkley.
The newlyweds confirmed they were expecting a baby together back in April.
“I'm probably going to be able to spend more time with this kid than most people are able to spend with their children, because I don't have a regular job," he has said. "I could be a stay-at-home dad for as long as I can stay alive."
