Britney Spears’ conservatorship will continue on in the same way it’s been since 2008 when her father, Jamie Spears, filed an emergency petition to take care of her.

Spears had been in a state of mental crisis at the time, having been placed under a psychiatric hold after a breakdown. Since then she’s made monumental strides towards bettering herself, however, the conservatorship is going so smoothly that it might always be in place.

According to TMZ, her dad was two conservatorships; one for her own personal well being and one for her finances.

Despite being overseen by a team of lawyers, doctors and Jamie himself, she still has "substantial day-to-day freedom.”

"There is no reason to break the conservatorship with everything working so well," a source told Us Weekly. "Everything is working perfectly under this arrangement and it will stay that way."

When her conservatorship first started she was at risk of losing custody of her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline; Sean, 9 and Jayden, 8. Her finances were also in jeopardy. The conservatorship has stabilized all aspects of her life.
