Ciara is finally responding to her ex-fiance Future’s displeasure with the singer having their son spend time with her new boyfriend, NFL star Russell Wilson.
During an appearance on CBS This Morning she called it a “double standard” that Future doesn’t want Wilson around their son.
“At one point in time when we were together, I took care of his kids as well at a very young stage in our relationship,” she explained. “I was involved very early in the stages of us getting to know each other and that’s been a big conversation. Well, what’s the difference here?”
She went on to share that Future refused to talk to Wilson when Ciara tried to be a liaison between the two.
“To the guys that want to have such an opinion, know your facts,” she said. “I did reach out to my son’s father for him and Russell to speak and he didn’t want to talk to me. We didn’t get to talk, so that was that. I don’t know what more they could expect for me to do than just live my life, and that’s what I’m doing.”
Future has talked about this both on Twitter and during an appearance on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club.
“You never do that in our community. You don't even bring a man around your son,” he said. "You know this dude for a few months and you're bringing him around your kid? Who does that? Nobody does that."
Ciara and Wilson, who have been vocal about staying abstinent until marriage, went public with their relationship in April.
