Back in 1999, Lucasfilm got nearly every company in the country to do some cross-promotion for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Disney, the king of promotion, is going to do the same with The Force Awakens, which might explain why we will get Star Wars-branded CoverGirl products.

CoverGirl announced the limited edition Star Wars products with galleries over at Allure. There will be Star Wars-branded lipstick, Star Wars-branded nail polish and Star Wars-branded mascara. The campaign includes ads with models made up like C-3PO and Stormtroopers by makeup artist Pat McGrath.

“Metallics are hot this season and fit perfectly with the film,” McGrath told Allure. “Why not take some risks and have fun with a gold or silver lip look?”

Of course, this is just the start of the Star Wars marketing onslaught we will be hit with this fall. As The Hollywood Reporter confirmed this week, Lucasfilm has announced that Disney has also struck deals with Subway, Duracell, General Mills, HP and Verizon.

In other words, you can eat a bowl of Star Wars cereal for breakfast while checking your Star Wars Verizon phone. Then, for lunch, you can have a Star Wars sub from Subway. Disney just needs to strike a deal with a dairy brand so we can finally get Blue Milk.
