Ed Sheeran had a response for those who had negative words to say regarding his new lion tattoo.
E! News reported that the “Thinking Out Loud” singer got the tattoo last week, in which a massive lion tattoo stands proudly on his chest. However, while the singer had his reasons for getting the new ink, he had some unfavorable reviews.
In a tweet regarding the tattoo, Tom Chaplin from Keane said that it was a “really bad picture of a lion” and apparently was thinking this was just a prank. On his own Twitter account, Sheeran responded, “I like it and that’s the only opinion that matters.” He received an apology from Chaplin.
Sheeran had explained to BBC News that he decided to get the tattoo to commemorate the selling out of three of his shows at Wembley Stadium. His original plan had been to do a floor plan of the Stadium, but then decided to do the logo of the lion for the England football team.
His tattoo artist, Kevin Paul, reportedly told E! News it took six hours to do the tattoo, but he still had “about 6 hours left to complete the tattoo.” He also admitted Sheeran is able to handle the pain of getting tattoos, but he could “see the pain started to get to him.”
