On Monday, Emile Hirsch pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an attack that occurred at Sundance in January. He has received a sentence, but afterwards, there’s a strong chance his behavior could get him blacklisted in Hollywood.

According to TMZ, Hirsch pleaded guilty in a Salt Lake City court regarding the Jan. 25 incident, in which he put a female studio executive in a choke hold. In return, he will spend 15 days in jail, has to pay a $4,750 fine and do 50 hours of community service.

Hirsch has further claimed he was intoxicated during the incident, and had checked himself into rehab shortly after.

Over the past 15 years, the actor’s career has seen high and low points, taking starring roles but never becoming a leading man or A-list material. Pictures that could’ve catapulted his career didn’t, and over the past few years, save for a supporting role in Lone Survivor, he’s stuck to indie flicks with limited distribution. Moreover, his time as an actor has seen him play many disturbed, if not immoral, characters.

Hirsch’s career might as well be over – or could take an Edward Furlong-like route from major pictures into B-movie territory. So, up to this point, we count down his most controversial projects.
