FOX Sports has confirmed that news Wednesday that, as expected, former ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd is joining the network.

Variety noted that Cowherd will host a three-hour program called “The Herd” on FOX Sports 1 and the FOX Sports Radio Network every Monday through Friday at 3 p.m. EST. He will also be featured on the network’s NFL Kickoff at 11 a.m. on Sundays during football season.

As we previously reported, ESPN President John Skipper announced in a statement last month that Cowherd would be leaving the network. It was speculated then that the 53-year-old was headed to FOX Sports.

ESPN ultimately ended up firing him after his comments regarding Dominican players in baseball.

“I’ve never bought into that ‘baseball is too complex.’ Really? A third of the sport is from the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic has not been known in my lifetime as having world-class academic abilities.”

He later apologized via Twitter for his “poor” choice of words and said he did not mean to offend anyone.
