Lady Gaga is joining American Horror Story: Hotel as one of the season's main characters, and we now have our first official glimpse at what she'll be doing in the show.

Entertainment Weekly revealed some juicy new details about Gaga's character and about the season as a whole. Gaga will be playing The Countess, a "glamorous socialite who attends art openings and fashion shows and maintains her looks not from a steady diet of kale but from imbibing human blood."

If that sounds like she's playing a vampire, creator Ryan Murphy says he prefers not to look at it that way. “I prefer the term ‘ancient blood virus,’ ” Murphy said. “It’s really a form of hemophilia, in a way.”

Gaga's character is also described as being driven by love and sex, and she'll be caught up in a love triangle between Donovan (Matt Bomer) and Tristan (Finn Wittrock).

American Horror Story: Hotel will revolve around the Hotel Corztez, built in 1930 by James March (Evan Peters) as a way to disguise his murders. Jumping ahead to present day, Gaga's Countess acquires the hotel. The season's characters will also include actress and The Countess' former lover Ramona (Angela Bassett), crossdresser Liz Taylor (Dennis O'Hare), front desk clerk Iris (Kathy Bates), junkie Sally (Sarah Paulson), and Detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley).

And of course it wouldn't be an American Horror Story season without some sort of iconic, messed up creature, i.e Rubberman, Bloodyface and Twisty, so this season will showcase The Addiction Demon, a creature with no eyes or mouth who wields "a nasty, conical drillbit dildo." Well, okay then.

As we previously reported, Lady Gaga actually reached out to Ryan Murphy herself saying she wanted to be on American Horror Story, adding that she wanted to be an evil character. Murphy immediately accepted. Despite being known for her musical abilities, Gaga's character will not do any singing at all during the season.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres on October 7.
