Iggy Azalea is confirming the plastic surgery rumors stemming from May, when her Billboard Music Awards appearance turned heads.
It was rumored at the time that Azalea got a nose job and a chin augmentation and she’s opening up about it in a new interview with Seventeen’s September issue.
“I’m not denying it," she said. "Denying it is lame. I don’t think you should be ashamed if you made a change to yourself, which is why I’ve spoken about the changes I’ve made, like with my breasts.”
She has also openly talked about her breast augmentation, saying she’s wanted implants her “entire life.” Her main reason for enhancing her breasts was to become more proportionate. "I'm a 2 or a 0 on the top, and a 6 on the bottom,” she has also said about her body pre-boob job.
Azalea went on to say, “Your perception of yourself can change a lot over time, so I think it’s important to wait and make sure it’s the right choice. Plastic surgery is an emotional journey. It’s no easy feat to live with your flaws and accept yourself -- and it’s no easy feat to change yourself. Either way you look at it, it’s a tough journey."
She acknowledged that the world of social media can have a big impact on women’s self esteem, because “there’s so much more emphasis on taking pictures of ourselves and the 'likes' or people commenting on them.”
