The Indianapolis Colts and wide receiver T.Y. Hilton agreed to a contract extension on Thursday.

The team did not disclose the financial terms of the contract, but PFT reported that league sources said it is for five years at $65 million, with $39 million guaranteed.

After the deal was announced, Colts general manager Ryan Grigson released the following statement:

"It's a great day for the Indianapolis Colts, T.Y. Hilton and his family. We're extremely happy as an organization to ensure that T.Y. will continue to be a part of our journey for many years to come. His daily excellence on and off the field is a shining example of an individual striving for greatness and what it truly means to be a Colt."

The fourth-year receiver has caught 214 receptions for 3,289 yards and 19 touchdowns in his career. ESPN noted that since 2012 he has had 17 receptions of at least 40 yards; ranking him third behind DeSean Jackson and AJ. Green.

Another Pro Bowl wide out that got paid by the Colts’ this offseason is former Texans’ receiver Andre Johnson. He was added for $21 million after the team announced that veteran Reggie Wayne would not be re-signed.
