John Oliver is concerned about how America is educating our students.

On this week’s episode of his HBO show, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Oliver focused on everyone’s favorite subject in school, sex education. He started by giving us the stats. “There is no required standard for sex ed. in this country. In fact, only 22 states mandate that kids receive it, and only 13 require that thin information presented be medically accurate,” Oliver pointed out.

Oliver shows a sex education video from the 80’s that, surprise!, stars Jonathan Banks, Mike from Breaking Bad, before further exploring sex ed. in America’s schools.

Then, Oliver decides to make it his mission to give America’s students a real sex ed. “There is no way we’d allow any other academic program to consistently fail to prepare students for life after school, and human sexuality, unlike calculus is something you actually need to know about,” Oliver passionately states. The host then shares a star-studded sex ed. video for students who don’t have high quality sex education in their school. The video stars Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Kristen Schaal, Aisha Tyler, Laverne Cox, Jack McBrayer, Kumail Nanjiani, and Banks talking about sex and abstinence. The celebrity filled educational video starts just before the 18:00 minute mark.

Oliver’s show has been a staple in the media since it first aired last year. This summer Oliver has discussed transgender rights and America’s food habits.
