Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen started their acting careers when they weren't even a year old. John Stamos, the actor that worked alongside the twins on Full House, wanted to get rid of them!

The 51-year-old star commented on Thursday on a preview that Lifetime featured from a documentary movie, Unauthorized Full House Story. The clip showed the actor trying to get the little Olsen twins off the show.

During a press tour in Beverly Hills held by the Television Critics Association, Stamos was asked about the clip. The actor admitted the truth- he wanted the little girls fired.

“The Olsen twins cried a lot, and it was very difficult to get the shot," Stamos told the critics. "So I [gesturing], ‘Get them out…!’ That is actually 100 percent accurate"

The two cuties were almost kicked off the show, but there just wasn't a better replacement. "They brought in a couple of unattractive redheaded kids. We tried that for a while and that didn’t work. [Producers] were like, all right, get the Olsen twins back. And that’s the story.”

Stamos also told the critics that he shot two episodes of the upcoming Fuller House revival to be featured on Netflix. The Olsen twins are still thinking about appearing on the show.

Stamos also had a moment at the Television Critics Association press tour with Rob Lowe. The two joked about dating each other for years.
