What do you get when you have the “voice of an angel” and a presidential candidate who sometimes tweets ridiculous things? You get Josh Groban singing Donald Trump tweets, that’s what you get.
Last night Jimmy Kimmel enlisted in the help of his musical guest, Groban, to bring more life to Trump’s tweets. Groban tickled the ivories as he belted out different “songs” from his new album.
“So tonight we are very pleased to bring two great talents together for this new album that I think is nothing short of magic,” Kimmel announced before Groban appeared, standing behind the piano.
Groban sang a collection of Trump’s tweets. They ranged from his thoughts on Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s breakup, “Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again—just watch,” to his bonus track, about losers and haters. “Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest –and you all know it! Please don’t feel so stupid, it’s not your fault,” Groban sings.
“Donald Trump’s tweets will make you laugh, make you cry, but mostly they’ll make you cry,” the singer explains.
A few years ago Groban “released an album” of Kanye West tweets. The Donald Trump album is the “highly anticipated follow-up” to Groban’s original Kanye album.
The album is “available wherever Trump Steaks, Trump Water, Trump Menswear, Trump the Fragrance, and Trump the Home Mattress Collection is sold.”
Kimmel’s Monday night show was his first new episode since he officiated Jennifer Aniston’s wedding.
