Kelly Rutherford was ordered to hand her children Hermes, 8, and Helena, 6, over to their paternal grandmother in court on Tuesday to be returned to their father Daniel Giersch.

The order comes on the heels of the former Gossip Girl star refusing to send their kids back to Monaco on Aug. 7.

Giersch’s attorney, Ira Garr, said in a statement to Us Weekly after the judge made the ruling, "I think everyone was very professional and well behaved in court. The kids didn't seem to look like they missed a beat -- they kissed their mother, they were happy to see their grandmother.”

Garr added, "There was no scene. They hugged and said goodbye to their mother, and she said she will see them soon. They easily transitioned to their grandmother, who they love very much. Everything was done very civilly. They were told, 'Oh, you're going to see Poppa, and you're going with Oma.' The kids seemed fine."

Rutherford was reunited with her kids in June but she refused to send them back to their father, telling Good Morning America the next day, “It's been kind of cruel, in a way, because we just want to see each other and be together.”
