Khloe Kardashian threw a 26th birthday party for her boyfriend, NBA star James Harden, and most of her famous family members were there. There was one small hiccup though – the fireworks that went off at midnight woke up most of the families in the Marina del Rey, Calif. area.

Kardashian planned the party, which Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Tyga and more attended, on a yacht. She scheduled the fireworks show, which lasted 15 minutes, to go off at midnight on the dot.
The Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments both said they did not issue permits for this, but Andrea Anderson of the Coast Guard told The Hollywood Reporter they issued a "Letter of Recommendation" for the Kardashians to set off fireworks.
Fellow celebrities like Josh Gad tweeted about being woken up by the fireworks, with the Frozen star writing, “To whomever planned fireworks at midnight on a Tues thank u. Sincerely parents of 2 children who just woke up thinking we were being shelled.”
Kardashian started dating Harden in July.
