Now that Kylie Jenner is 18, it looks like she really doesn’t care what people think. She was seen on Tuesday sporting her controversial cornrows even after actress Amandla Stenberg criticized them in July.

When Kylie first showed off her cornrow look, Amandla aggressively commented, “When you appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans.”
Kylie was offended by the comment considering how involved she is in African American culture. Even though Amandla’s comment did provoke an interesting discussion about black culture, Kylie refused to view wearing cornrows as an offense towards the African American community.
On her Instagram, Kylie posted a snap story of her taking a nap with best friend Pia Mia Perez. And the cornrows made an appearance.
People reported that Kylie even posed in a photo with her cornrows and festive glasses that were shaped as the number 18.
All of the comments so far have not attacked Kylie for wearing cornrows, but it will be interesting to see if Amandla has anything to say about it.
