After 25 years of a successful music career, as well as television and film appearances, the Walk of Fame finally debuts a star for Mariah Carey.
As reported last week, Carey received the 2,556th star on the Walk of Fame. So far, Carey had 18 No. 1 hits, sold more than 200 million albums and, won five Grammy Awards. Today, Carey was joined by her son, 4-year-old Morrocan, who also got his moment of fame, in Hollywood for the singer's recognition.
As Carey sat on the red carpet, looking gorgeous for the paparazzi, the little boy just couldn't let go of his mommy.
He ran up behind his mom, then sat right next to her, almost leaning on Carey. Meanwhile, Carey didn't even move; she kept a glowing smile for the cameras.
During the ceremony, Lee Daniels, creator of Fox's drama Empire had exciting news about the five-time Grammy winner.
As Carey was honored on the red carpet, Daniels announced that the diva will be featured in the second season of his show, which will premiere Sept. 23.
Carey has not commented on the announcement. After several appearances in television including episodes of Real Husbands of Hollywood and American Dad, this will be a major TV appearance for Carey.
Congratulations on a newly embedded star on the Walk of Fame, Carey! Looks like the 45-year-old star is making a comeback.
