Melody Patterson, an actress who starred on the 1960s TV series F Troop, has died. She was 66.
Patterson’s death was announced on the Facebook page run by the reps of Larry Storch, who co-starred in the series with her.
“It's with a heavy heart that we can let you know our beloved Wrangler Jane, Melody Patterson passed away today. Our hearts are sad today. RIP Sweet Melody. We love you,” the statement reads.
According to Variety, Patterson died at a nursing home following multiple organ failure.
Patterson was born on April 16, 1949 in Inglewood, California and began her film and TV career in the early ‘60s. In 1965, she started who two-year run on F Troop, which lasted until 1967, playing Wrangler Jane on the Western.
She also made appearances on Wendy and Me, The Monkees, Adam-12 and Green Acres. She also appeared in three episodes of the original Hawaii Five-0, which starred her then-husband James MacArthur.
F Troop originally aired on ABC and only ran for two seasons. Storch earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the comedy series.
