The cast of the Fantastic Four experienced a very uncomfortable interview with Atlanta’s Rock 100.5 host. In another interview with HuffPost Live, they are asked about their reactions to such an unprofessional event.
Last week, Steven J. Rickman from Atlanta Rock made two very big blunders.
First, he asked how Kate Mara and Michael Jordan could be siblings in the movie if they are black and white, and then he asked Mara why she cut her hair short.
The actors found the questions to be racist and sexist, but they remained polite until one of their publicists shut down the interview.
Now, E! Online reports that the actors discussed how they felt about being asked such ignorant questions.
The interviewer of HuffPost Live asked if it was annoying to be asked how they could be brother and sister. Mara commented that it was ignorant, while Jordan explained that they felt weird about it.
He said that as an actor trying to promote their movie, they feel pressured to not bring any bad press to the film. So when asked a question like that, the cast decided to keep calm and move on.
“We’re still people. We’re still human. So, that kind of bothers us. At the end of the day, we don’t want to bring the attention to ignorance, and we always take the high road on these things and move forward,” concluded Jordan.
