Miley Cyrus has been open about being attracted to both sexes, having been seen with both men and women. In a new interview, however, she described herself as pansexual.
Being pansexual basically means she’s not limited to gender, gender identity or biological sex when it comes to a sexual partner, and she’s open to dating whoever she pleases.
These remarks are in line with her previous statements about being open sexually, saying, "Yo, I'm down with any adult — anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me. I don't relate to being boy or girl, and I don't have to have my partner relate to boy or girl."
A steamy public makeout session with Victoria’s Secret model, Stella Maxwell, had suggested they might be in a relationship, but Cyrus insisted to Elle UK that she’s not.
"I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with," she said. "I'm very open about it; I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship."
Cyrus went on to say that not only will she not put a label on who she’s dating right now, she won’t put a label on her gender identity.
"I don't relate to what people have made men and women into,” she said. “I know I'm more extreme and badass than most guys, but that doesn't make me a boy. And the other night I wore a pink dress because I felt cute. I can bake a cupcake and then go play hockey."
