In our article about the series we talked about the initial trailer and the plot and cast and crew associated with the show.

The second trailer digs deeper into the show.

The tone of the show is set as right away as the trailer immediately calls Pablo Escobar, "The best smuggler in the world," and "He was pulling in more than five million dollars a week.....he was the living the embodiment of the Colombian dream." This seemingly narrative of respect quickly takes a turn when it shows Escobar with a gun.

The cops are then put into focus. DEA partners Steve Murphy and Javier Pena are the protagonists looking to bring Escobar to justice. From the trailer it seems they will have to use whatever means necessary.

Netflix has a good history with dramas such as Bloodline, House of Cards, Marco Polo, and most recently Sense8. However they have never done anything like this before. Netflix is seeking to become another platform on the level of HBO and Showtime. A crime hit like this could be a huge step.
