Ron Swanson shaved his mustache; I repeat Ron Swanson is mustache-less.
Nick Offerman, widely known for his role on the popular series Parks and Recreation, talked with Entertainment Weekly about shaving off his mustache for his role in season two of FX’s series Fargo.
“I’ve had to learn to take it as a compliment when people say ‘I saw Nick Offerman without his mustache, and I vomited because it was so horrible.’ That means Parks and Rec was so effective that people can’t imagine me without my mustache,” Offerman said of his new look.
Offerman also talked with Entertainment Weekly about his relationship with his wife, Megan Mullally. “We’re lucky that we found the right person. Like with many showbiz couples, if I were as good-looking as Meagan, we’d be in trouble. But when you have a donkey and a fairy bunny rabbit, the rabbit jumps on the donkey’s back and they go for a walk,” the actor explained.
Offerman and Mullally have been married since 2003. They have worked together on many occasions. Offerman guest starred on Mullally’s series Will & Grace, and Mullally as one of Ron Swanson’s ex-wives on Parks and Rec. The two have also performed in many plays together. Both appeared on Last Week tonight with Jon Oliver to discuss America’s inconsistencies in sex education.
Fargo’s second season premiers Oct. 12 on FX.
