Perrie Edwards is one strong chic.
The singer was all smiles during an interview with E! News following the news that she and Zayn Malik had called off their engagement.
During the interview with her fellow Little Mix bandmates, a reporter asked Edwards how she is coping after the news broke earlier that day.
“I’m good, thank you,” Edwards politely responded, before bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall chimed in to change the subject.
Reports claim that though Edwards is “devastated,” but she has a lot of support during this difficult time.
“Her friends are rallying around her. She’s doing fine,” an insider explained. “They split a few weeks ago. Her close friends have told her she’s better off without him. He hasn’t treated her right for a long time.”
Edwards and Malik shocked fans on Tuesday when they announced their breakup. The two got engaged in August 2013 after dating for over a year. They appeared to be going strong despite cheating rumors back in March.
The former One Direction member was accused of cheating on Edwards with an Australian waitress Courtney Webb. Webb claimed that she had a one-night stand with the singer and said she didn’t think it was “the first time” he’d cheated on Edwards.
