President Barack Obama has already survived over seven years in the White House, but his next test of survival might be even more challenging. NBC announced today that the president will be taking an episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls while in Alaska this week.
The peacock said today that Obama and Grylls will talk about the effects of climate change on the beautiful Alaskan wilderness. Grylls will also give Obama a “crash course” of survival skills, making Obama the first president to appear on one of Grylls’ shows. Hopefully he won’t have to drink mouse urine like Michelle Rodriguez did on Running Wild.
The special episode of Running Wild will air later this year.
Other celebrities who have appeared on Running Wild include Kate Winslet, Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, Drew Brees and Kate Hudson.
Obama’s three-day trip to Alaska has already made news. Over the weekend, it was announced that Mount McKinley, the highest peak in North America will officially be recognized by its Native Alaskan name, Denali.
