Amy Poheler and Will Ferrell have a daughter! Sort of.

Ryan Simpkins has been cast as the daughter of Poehler and Ferrell in their upcoming comedy The House. The movie is about a couple that starts an illegal casino in their home. Ferrell and Poehler’s characters blow through money they saved for their daughter’s college tuition, and open the casino in a last ditch effort to win back the cash.

According to Deadline Hollywood The House was written by Brendan O’Brien and Andrew J. Cohen who penned the 2014 hit Neighbors.

As previously reported, the film is going to be produced by Ferrell and Adam McKay through Gary Sanchez.

Simpkins’ resume includes Revolutionary Road, Pride and Glory, and A Single Man.

Poehler has a busy year ahead. Her film Sisters with Tina Fey will be in theaters this December. She is also set to star in a basketball comedy from Universal, with The Mindy Project’s Ike Barinholtz. Ferrell will be seen in Zoolander 2, out next year.
