Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has broken his silence on being arrested for fighting his son’s UCLA football coach earlier this summer while on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club on Monday.

He was arrested on an assault charge for allegedly attacking the UCLA football strength and conditioning coach, Sal Alosi, with a kettlebell.

"When you have a child that plays sports, you're actually giving your child up to those coaches," he explained, Today.com reports.

"You have to be able to take a lot. As a Combs, my sons, they have to be able to take a lot, you can't have no soft skin. But I think there's a fine line, too, and I think that there's times when you have to just communicate and find out what's going on and be by your children's side."

While he tried to say he “went there to communicate," one of the co-hosts showed him a kettlebell and asked what it was. "It's a miscommunication,” Combs laughed.

As a result of the incident, he’s not permitted to attend any of his son’s practices.
